“In his works, one feels a continuous inspirational upheaval: underground, imperceptible tremors that gradually replace old new compositional equilibriums, assigning complex conceptual stratifications to images. It is interesting to note how elements belonging to distant microcosms come into conflict and how each of them probably finds its place in the composition ‘automatically’, thus establishing a balanced dialectic with various objects coming from other worlds, or rather even better, from other dimensions. From the silent chaos emerges the balance that dominates Sergi’s production: matter is arranged in his works as if in the absence of gravity, it floats ungoverned in the space that the artist has destined for it, a starting point for its subsequent propagation towards new atmospheres.”
